New copper plus iodine glass bolus launched
Telsol is pleased to announce the launch of CoseIcure, the first soluble glass bolus containing both iodine and copper.
Soluble glass boluses are thought to out-perform many other forms of mineral supplementation because they guarantee the dose to each animal, they stay in the reticulum, dissolving at a constant rate for up to six months and leave absolutely no residues.
The constant delivery of active copper ions into the reticulo-rumen is unique in preventing absorption of toxic thiomolybdate molecules which, if absorbed, will impair the fertility of the cow.
Telsol Managing Director, Dr Stewart Telfer says, “We have launched CoseIcure in response to farmer and vet demand for a bolus containing both copper and iodine. Many farmers use our other products but have to supplement iodine separately. We hope that our new bolus which delivers copper, iodine, selenium and cobalt in a single treatment will help reduce farmer workload and stress on animals.”
CoseIcure will be on sale from April 2008 and details of stockists are available from Telsol.
